Leadership

The officers of AFT Connecticut are elected by local union delegates to the biennial convention in odd-numbered years to serve two-year terms beginning July 1. The current leadership were chosen at the 72nd annual event, held May 18, 2019 in Southington.

Officers’ titles under the federation’s Constitution & Bylaws were revised following adoption of proposed changes in 2015 by convention delegates and again in 2018 following approval of an additional submitted amendment.
